A new study shows that the Chicagoans spend less time when they go to word in the morning or go to back home in the evening than other major cities in the U.S.
The report said the negative effect that traffic congestion causes to the economy and to the quality of life.
According to the mobility statistics in the U.S., Chicago is part of the cities that belong to the 40 less hours a year in the travel average.
Finally, the report said some solutions on how other cities are developed. For example, housing is closer to work and neighborhoods include bicycle lanes and sidewalks.

My comment:
I actually spend 30 minutes in the morning to go to work an 30 minutes in the afternoon to go back home. So I think this strategy about compacting the cities could bring more opportunities and benefits to the community.
