Fire erupts aboard oil platform in Gulf of Mexico
by Unknown/CNN

The U.S. Coast Guard report that the fire on platform in the Gulf of Mexico is out and there is no indication of an oil sheen. Thirteen crew members were wearing survival suits when they were plucked our of the water after that they were evaluated at Terrebone General Hospital. Captain Peter Troedsson said that they continue to investigate that situation. The Governor of Louisiana, Bobby Jindal is concert about this problem and still working on it. Mariner Energy, owns of the platform said the fire was not sparked by an explosion and explain in detail all process they're taking to fix it. The platform was last inspected in January.

After BP problems with the oil in Gulf of Mexico we can't see how can they fix the ecology catastrophe that it's destroying a big part of the sea. This huge problem is taking part of the United States coast and Mexico too. Since BP promises to fix the oil spilling I can't believe that others platforms can think with money can fix our seas, ours fish, ours sea world, etc. Now, there's a problem with the Mariner Energy fire on Luisiana coast as we know the owners are saying everything is good, there's no problem at all but the actions says opposite. We can see on the news the images of the oil spilling in Gulf of Mexico.

My opinion: I think that the platform has to be more careful because they cause damage around the world, they are affecting the atmosphere and nature and killed animals.
