United States
Was early in the morning when my flight landed to Chicago. It took me 12 hrs. to got there I've been alone trying to understand all the new things around me such us: language, people, culture, etc. At 5:15 am I was walking alone on the big hall of the airport trying to find some coffee. listening a song of Frank Sinatra...coming so loud from the speakers of the airport...then I got it!! I found the courage to talk and asked for directions, Finally following direction with my basic really basic English I asked someone for help.. I can't believe how that person could understand me... a couple of hours....later I was trying to assimilate all the new information which could help me to start moving in the city by myself.... At the beginning everything was blah.. blahh. and more blahh..blah :S I used to say to myself Rocio pay attention come on you can do it...and the fatal question... Rocio do you understand???? I was thinking: I don't even know what you just say Ahhhh!!!! then I started classes to improve my English... Now that I remember the process of adaptation in this country specially the first weeks, I start laughing for all the new adventures that I've had since I came to North America
